Scholes Churches Joint Lent Group

The group will meet at 1.30pm, every Tuesday for five weeks starting 20th February 2024. We will be following the course by Nick Fawcett called “Spot the Difference”. All course materials will be provided, but if you would like to buy the course book it is available here.

The leaders will be the Reverend Jonathan Brennan and Alan Stanley. Everyone is warmly invited and we look forward to a lovely, friendly time sharing with our Christian neighbours from both churches.

Wednesday 20 March, Courage - Lent Prayer Stations 

Come and explore our call to be courageous during Lent as we seek to reconnect with God through interactive prayer stations. Come anytime between 6pm and 8pm and stay as long as you need.

Watch and Pray - Lent reflections

'Watch and Pray' is the Church of England’s Lent theme for 2024.

 

Using either the booklet or the digital app (for iOS and Android), Watch and Pray invites us to seek God in both familiar and unfamiliar places this Lent: in darkness and in quiet; in movement and migration; in the healing and transforming work of the Spirit; in the weeping of Holy Week and in the joy of Easter morning.
